Review 2019 Conference Scholarships Details Below:

 
Sponsored by the ATMAE - EECT Division

 
Scholarships will be awarded to (2) students attending the 2019 Annual Conference. Any student who meets the following criteria will be eligible for consideration:

Eligibility
  • Must be a current ATMAE member (undergraduate or graduate).
  • May only receive one conference scholarship from one ATMAE division.
  • Must attend the conference to receive the scholarship.
Submission Requirements
Submit a Student Conference Scholarship application to the ATMAE national office before October 7, 2019. The application must include the following: 
  • Cover Letter with Student Full Name, Address, Telephone, Email, School/Institution and Program.
  • List the Division for which you are applying for the scholarship (EECT)
  • Essay (750 – 1250 words, 11-point font minimum) describing how student meets or exceeds selection criteria.
  • Letter of support of student’s application from one faculty/professional ATMAE member.
  • List of students recruited to attend the 2019 annual conference (recruits should have active conference registration).
  • Submit all documents as a single (1) .pdf file.
Selection Criteria
  • Financial Need: how beneficial will the scholarship will be to the student; what other fundraising/scholarships has the student received?
  • Merit: how does conference attendance align and/or support the student’s education and career goals?
  • Conference Involvement: is the student authoring/co-authoring a conference paper or presenting, a member of a robotics team (in what capacity), etc.? 
  • Recruitment: how many registered students has the applicant recruited to attend the conference?

Award Payment:

Students that are selected for the scholarships will be announced publicly and receive their funds at the ATMAE Awards Luncheon scheduled during the Annual Conference in Charlotte on Friday, November 8, 2019.

The EECT Division will award (2) $325 scholarships for student conference registration. The conference registration fee includes 1-year ATMAE Membership.

  • Must be a student member in the Management Division.
  • Must attend the conference to receive the scholarship.

Submit a Student Conference Scholarship application to the ATMAE national office before October 7, 2019. The application must include the following: 

 

  • Cover Letter with Student Full Name, Address, Telephone, Email, School/Institution and Program
  • List the Division for which you are applying for a scholarship (Management).
  • Essay (500 - 750 words, 11-point font minimum) describing how student meets or exceeds the selection criteria.
  • List of new ATMAE members and their contact information recruited in 2019 (recruits should have current ATMAE membership and belong to the Management Division).
  • Submit all documents as a single (1) .pdf file.

Selection Criteria
An applicant should provide the scope of reach-out activities to recruit new members and the number of new ATMAE members (also should be members in Management Division) who were introduced by him/her in 2019, the names of the new members, and their contact information by October 7, 2019

Award Payment:
Students that are selected for the scholarships will be announced publicly and receive their funds at the ATMAE Awards Luncheon scheduled during the Annual Conference in Charlotte on Friday, November 8, 2019.

• The student with the highest number of new ATMAE members will receive a $325 registration award that includes 1-year ATMAE membership. 

• The student with the second highest number of new ATMAE members will receive a $250 scholarship.

The Manufacturing Division will award (2) $500 scholarships which will include a $325 Student Conference Registration and the remaining may be used for the student meals and travel expenses. The conference registration fee includes 1-year ATMAE Membership.
